WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?

I used to study Environmental Science at Fudan University, working on pollution control and environmental management. Now I am studying Landscape Architecture at the University of Virginia and cooperating actively with Architects and Urban Designers to propose integrated solutions to improve public spaces in the realm of design.

how do you define yourself as a designer?

I would introduce myself as a landscape architect generally, while this title doesn't stop me from exploring further beyond the discipline of landscape architecture. I work with architects, urban planners, environmental scientists, photographers,  graphic designers,  musicians, etc.  and I would love to describe myself as one of these experts. As for me, all these fields of study require and enhance the innovative thinking and the capability of capturing the beauty of nature.
